well, it's been just about a month since my last update and just about as long since i last updated that picture page of mine. i chalk it up to a combination of 2 jobs and laziness. i did quit my night job last week and i'm enjoying working normal hours for the first time in my life. i got some new sneakers today - they're pretty sweet and close with velcro.

a whole lot has happened and chances are if you're not one of those people i barely know who read my xanga (there are quite a few of you, don't think i don't know ) then we've probably talked recently and you need not read my xanga for a full update of my life.

tomorrow's lexsee's 21st birthday and i think we're gonna head over to east end fest later for some good times and drinking.

yesterday i went over to erwin's to use his deep fryer. yes, this man owns a deep fryer and oh what a joy it was. lexsee later joined us. we deep fried mozerella sticks, jalepeno poppers, CORNDOGS!, and then it went downhill... cookies and ice cream. for future reference, deep fried cookies are not very good. we also played mad libs which is still fun believe it or not. later a bunch of us headed over to acme for thursday night $6 pitchers as always. filled with way too much deep fried food, no amount of alcohol would have had any effect on me. we rocked the photo hunt and drank sam summer and blue moon. we headed back to the apartment with a pizza from sal's and played more mad libs with espn in the background. i reiterate: mad libs is still fun. go buy some mad libs and play. dirty words only.

time for an update - i know it's been quite a while.

well, first things first, i am currently proudly employed by 3 different companies... from being unemployed. yay for money!

last saturday, 3 july, gabe and ilene game to visit for the day. we had lots of fun. we ate at aladdin's, went shopping, and saw spiderman. i consulted gabe about this weird infection that was in my right thumb and he suggested i seek medical attention - this is how i knew it was bad. gabe is always down for some home surgery, but not this time. ilene even contemplated going to the hospital that day, but i didn't want to ruin their one day visit. which brings me to july 4th. i spent the day in the emergency room, waiting with everyone who had somehow burned themselves trying to fire up the grill. i was there from about 1 pm to 6 pm. most of this time was spent waiting. anyway, when i finally saw someone she told me how bad this infection was. they amputated my thumb. joking. ha. ha. nah, they just had to take off the majority of my fingernail - which was gross, but yes i got novacaine. i left the hospital with a giant "thumbs up" bandage which remained on for the next two days while i suffered extreme pain even with painkillers. the nurse gave me vicodin which lo and behold i am allergic to. yay. i went back to the ER on tuesday to have them look at it and get it rewrapped. it was pretty nasty looking, but it's currently healing quite nicely and i only have to wear a small gauze and medical tape bandage on it now. she said my nail will grow back fully in 6 weeks. it wouldn't be a true summer for me unless i injured one of my fingers.

aside from that, nothing special happened last week. on sunday alex, tatiana, dominic and i finally made it to the "beach". i say finally because we had talked about going since the summer began. i say "beach" because if you saw this place, you wouldn't think it was a beach of any sort. it was hamlin beach in rochester and it smelled like garbage. the sand was pretty much dirt and full of rocks. the water was filled with algae but we went in, regardless. we even played a very shortlived game of volleyball with a piece of a plant because for some reason no floating anything of any kind was allowed in the water (i.e. a beach ball). after our dip in the water alex, dominic and i decided to go exploring. this didn't last very long because i got stung by a bee on the bottom of my foot. ouch. alex piggybacked me most of the way back to our stuff. seriously, this would only happen to me... ok, maybe it would happen to little dan as well, but i should have expected that with my luck something only sort of bad would happen. i'm never subject to anything serious, just stupid, annoying, little things. alex and i built a rock castle because there wasn't really a whole lot of sand. we've got some pictures i'll put up as soon as i get 'em. we came home and showered off all the garbage smell and headed to the elmwood for dinner. we came home and alex and i kept becoming more and more sunburned. i haven't been really burnt in a while and now it really sucks. turns out my watch is also not as waterproof as i had previously thought.

so that's all up to date. for now alex and i smell like vinegar because rhonda swore it would prevent sunburn from peeling, and seriously, it's doing a good job of taking away the redness and heat.

i found out some wonderful news regarding 30 july - 2 august . and for those still in rockland, i'm gonna be home 6 august - 8 august, so let me know if you'll be in the rock.

music: none.
mood: still somewhat hungover, yet very happy.
wearing: powerpuff girl socks, black underwear, pooh boxers, ugly orange swirly pajama pants, my black tank top from last night, for some reason a different bra than i wore out last night - but it's mine at least, tatiana's yellow zip-up hoodie, and a bright silver headband.
that sounds like a lot to be wearing, but i was way drunk when it all came together, and it's really quite comfortable.

i had a fuckin' awesomely fun time last night. i haven't been that drunk or that entertained in a long time. it all started because erwin lost a bet, which we won't even get into because the terms of the bet were never followed through... yet. anyway, so erwin came over around 10:30 with a 12 of rolling rock. we sat in my living room and watched re-runs (obviously) of my so-called life and drank and talked. tatiana and alex disappeared to get little dan who was victim to the most unfortunate series of events yesterday, but that's another story. i hadn't eaten since about 2 in the afternoon, so after sam summer number 1 followed by rolling rock 2, 3, and 4 i had already broken the seal and was sort of stumbly. we went out to flynn's on monroe which was really dead, but i like the place. me and erwin split a pitcher of yuengling - yum yum! and played some cricket. i wasn't too bad and i honestly wasn't used to not keeping score by hand... i got used to doing it with my shack boys back home . the fancy electronic dart board did all the work, and i actually wasn't that bad. erwin won. pitcher of yuengling: completed. pitcher of yuengling black & tan: purchased. time to play pool. we played 3 games of pool. erwin told me this morning that i beat him once, but i don't remember. i was also told i decided drinking black & tan out of the pitcher was something i needed to do, even though my pint glass was right next to the pitcher, and filled with said black & tan. i was fairly sloshed at the time, and erwin drank most of it anyway. they basically closed the place during our last game of pool, which was funny. all in all, i'm way better at bar games when i'm drinking than when i'm sober... remarkably better. interesting.

we walked home, and i don't remember it at all. i do remember leaving flynn's, but after that the next thing i remember is sitting on my front porch with erwin smoking a cigarette. apparantly i came inside at some point and hugged alex and dan who were playing poker with tatiana in the living room. well, the rest is just a mirage of throwing up, drinking water, and apparantly changing my clothes.

i woke up this morning to the lady from next door yelling at her kid or something. you don't need to yell at your kid at fuckin' 7:30 in the morning on a saturday. fuck that. i've mostly been sitting around in my weird crazy getup all day and it's been great. i was feeling pretty shitty this morning but after a nap on the couch i'm a lot better.

i'd like to take this opportunity to say the worst part of throwing up is waking up the next morning, returning to the bathroom you so lovingly spent time in last night, and realizing just how dirty it is. my head probably touched places only alex's pee had previously come in contact with.

so, who wants to go out tonight?
